Are you prepared to take on battle with Goliath? At some point in your life, you have or will have to face Goliath.
At the time of encounterment, you will either cower in your tent and refuse to fight like the soldiers of Israel and let your fear defeat you, or you will in faith,
go onto the battlefield knowing that victory is already yours like David
did.
The emphasis I want to make with this expoundment today, is know that one day you will have to face a seemingly undefeatable foe. It is not a matter of if, only when. Victory is when you step on the field to face Goliath not necessarily when you actually fight him, you defeat him before you ever step onto the battlefield. This is worth repeating, so let me say it again, you don’t defeat Goliath when you actually fight him, you defeat Goliath before you ever step onto the battlefield!
Think about David. When he walked onto the battlefield with Goliath, he KNEW
he would be victorious. How did he know that? He had fought battles in the
past and had been victorious. For example, when he was guarding his father’s sheep, he battled with a lion and won. When he was guarding his father’s sheep, he battled with a bear and won. David had been in battle before, and experience taught him how to fight. More important, he had developed a great faith in God who gave him the strength and wisdom how to win those battles.
Let me say this in closing, fighting is an art. Moreover, it is an art that must be mastered. So, if you are planning to live a victorious life, and have victory over anything that comes your way, you must have conviction, and know how to strike, when to strike, and where to strike! These basic principles will prepare you for victory every time you face your Goliath…
May the God Host, prepare you mentally, physically, and spiritually to overcome all obstacles large or small that come before you. For HE is the one that has granted you victory from the days of antiquity and will still grant victory today!
