Am I now trying to win the favor and approval of men, or of God? Or am I seeking to please someone? If I were still trying to be popular with men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ.
Galatians 1:10 Amp

In life more times than not, seeking the approval of others often takes center stage in our thoughts and controls the way we act, and the decisions we make. Most proclaimed believers have a distorted idea that we need to please man (aka everyone except Jehovah). This mindset is humanly impossible. There will always be someone who disapproves of your actions or dislikes you. It is God alone who needs to be the focal point of everything you think, feel and the Governor of your actions. When it comes to approval, the same principle must comply with the premise of God’s Word alone. Man will approve you today and reject you tomorrow! The more you give the more man takes. Enough is never enough because there is always an insatiable desire for more. Man wants more from you than you can supply. The question then becomes, why is this?

Since the beginning of time, there is a God size void that was created in man that only HE can fill. Therefore, if you have slipped out of your righteous place in life, please know man’s approval cannot substitute or fulfill that desire of contentment and it can’t alter the truth of Christ Jesus. Now, please do not misconstrue this spiritual principle with your obligation to satisfy your spouse. God has given man a unique balance to communicate and understand the need of his/her spouse without negating connection with Himself. It is His seal of approval that satisfies our souls.

Allow your prayer today to be, my heart seeks to please you God of Host. Your approval is what I desire. I accept the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ Your Son, without compromise. Give me the strength to live my life, so that it reflects your Power, Glory and Love to others through pleasing you according to your Word. Give me the wisdom and strength to serve you with my whole heart soul and mind in Jesus name, Amen.
