God has something better….
My Soul thirsts for God, for the living God. (Psalm 42:2)
It is difficult for us to completely grasp and understand the magnitude of how much God loves us. The door is always open and He is welcoming us into His presence, with His arms open wide. We spend so much of our lives, in search of perfect love and acceptance. There is a longing that runs deep within man, that no one can satisfy but God. There are many who are experts in theology, doctrines, and religions that have gained a plethora of knowledge about God. This has been done in order that they may influence, and lead God’s people, but there is no comparison in knowing God intimately for yourself.
To know Him, is to love Him. To love Him is to keep His word un-paralleled. To know Him, is to have your world completely changed, turned upside down and replaced with a “unquenchable thirst” for Him. There is no greater education we can receive than through the lessons we will learn while on life’s journey with Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Lessons we learn day-by-day, are all a part of the awesome transformation process that must take place in order to make our will become His will. Living life in the presence of an Almighty God, is an experience that can never be forgotten. Moreover, learning to accept those God orchestrated lessons through pain and the joy of life, is all a part of, experiencing, being honored, and knowing God in a real & personal way.
A Simple Prayer
“Lord I desire more of you. It is you that my soul searches for and nothing else will “quench my thirst”. Teach me your ways; give me wisdom and insight to follow the way you have chosen for me. Wherever you are Lord, is where I want to be.
Thank you for loving me and accepting me, just as I am. Amen.
