He said, Hearken, all Judah, you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you King Jehoshaphat. The Lord says this to you: Be not afraid or dismayed at this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s. (2 Chronicles 20:15)
There are a point and time in life when we all will face problems and have confrontations, some more challenging than others. First and foremost, it must be understood the importance of knowing that you will never get through tough times on our own. Spiritual maturation occurs only when you realize that you must let go, stop fighting and trust in God. He has already laid the blueprint & plan for your life (for the rest of our life). So why worry, and think that somehow you in your finite wisdom & might can solve life problems without God’s intervention. When you speed life’s course to do things on your own, it shows that you do not have faith and trust in God and that really you do not need Him. This may never be spoken in words, but it is definitely illustrated in your actions. So, whenever a confrontation arises you should immediately seek God for direction and wisdom. Moreover, there should be a level of word within you, to sustain you, and remind you of what you should or should not do – this is a clear example of the “Holy- Spirit”. As believers we should never be spiritually idle and overcome with the cares of this world, in contrast we should be establishing and maintaining a God-filled, God-centered and God-led relationship.
When man places his un-feigned faith in the Lord Jesus Christ he is always guaranteed a WIN in whatever confrontation that he maybe facing. My desire is that God will go before, be with, and follow us all through whatever comes our way, Amen.
