And Ruth the Moabites said to Naomi, “Please let me go to the field, and glean among the ears of grain after one [of the reapers] in whose sight I may find favor.” Naomi said to her, “Go, my daughter.”  Ruth 2:2

How many times do you sit around thinking about the things you lack, not having the right relationship, or the lack of resources?  Newsflash, God got all you need and more!  As part of the inheritance of being born-again and saved from past sins makes you a depicted recipient of God’s best.  The bible also, reminds us in Matt 6:31, that God already knows what we have need of… Above all we must aim and pursue righteousness and things that are needed and desired will be added.

According to scripture, Ruth was a poor Moabite widow who accompanied her mother-in-law and went to live in Bethlehem, a Jewish town where the people in that vicinity considered Moabites as an outcast. But she did not get down about who she was or was not, about where she was from, or what she was going through. Instead, she believed that God would find favor in her and she declared, “I will find favor in the field that I glean from.”

In the natural realm, one would easily think that Ruth had the deck totally stacked against her. But because she trusted in the sovereignty of God, she not only became the wife of Bethlehem’s richest man when Boaz married her, but she also became linked as the great-grandmother of David and had her name forever linked to the lineage of Jesus Christ our Savior! That is what God’s supernatural favor did for her. This is what can manifest with a spirit of thanksgiving and believing that God has everything under his control!

There have been many occasions that God has made manifested HIS goodness to my family and I that we only need to aim & pursue righteousness, believe that HE is Who HE says HE is, and be grateful.  There is a calmness that follows trusting and resting in the care of the Lord.  Moreover, the blessing of God is strikingly tied to the notion of being grateful.  Let me expound, the power of being grateful is not from what is seen, but to be grateful is tied to the provision of those things NOT seen is what moves GOD.
