12 Proactive Tools to Challenge Anxiety On-the-Spot

by | Mar 14, 2025 | Devotional

1) Why even try, when the outcome is going to be failure?
Do your best.  Stay in the moment and operate in what you can control…

2) I am always in a rush!  It seems that I am never on time!
Plan ahead and make preparation in advance.

3) It seems like no one likes me.  People always have something negative to say about me no matter how hard I try.
Learn to be comfortable with your authentic and transparent self.  Remember you are who you are, and who you are not, you will never be.

4) Look at this traffic! I’m going to be late!
I’ll arrive when I arrive, and that is OK.

5) Life seems so hard.  I just know if I can make it.
Keep looking up and never quit!  Each day will get a little lighter and brighter if you don’t quit!

6) I always seem to do more than everyone else.
Just do your part and do not be concerned about whether others do or don’t do.

7) I feel so overwhelmed.
Pause and prioritize. The world was not built in a day.  Do what you can today and allow tomorrow to take care of itself.

8) I hope I don’t freeze up.
Loosen up and stay focus on the task at hand.  Everyone has some stage fright.  Just keep going and you will get through it.

9) Did I say that?
Learn to be more thoughtful and intentional about what is said.  Words released cannot be physically taken back.

10) I feel so anxious and on the edge.
Try to relax.  Attempt to do those things that are within your power.  Those things that are not, learn to let them God and trust God whole-heartedly for the outcome!

11) I’m so unattractive.
Know that you are who you are, and that you are wonderfully and uniquely made for God’s ultimate purpose for your life.

12) I do not if I can handle the outcome?
Trust God first and then trust the process that he is allowing you to go through!  You will come out whole and in a better place on the other side of your current situation.
